Jakarta - PT Bukalapak.com Tbk (BUKA) managed to turn its losses into huge profits in the third quarter of 2025. These huge profits are in line with operational efficiency, one of which is the number of employees that has continued to decline since the end of December 2024.
Quoted from the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) Information Disclosure page, Bukalapak posted a net profit of IDR 2.9 trillion, reversing its previous position which recorded a loss of IDR 593.2 billion. Bukalapak's net revenue was recorded at IDR 4.72 trillion in the third quarter of 2025, up from IDR 3.39 trillion in the same period the previous year.
However, Bukalapak's cost of revenue increased to IDR 4.35 trillion from IDR 2.79 trillion in the same period last year. Nevertheless, Bukalapak recorded a decrease in sales and marketing expenses to IDR 149.36 billion in the third quarter of 2025, compared to IDR 252.43 billion in the same period last year.
The company's general and administrative expenses also decreased significantly to IDR 361.33 billion from IDR 868.02 billion in the third quarter of 2024. Under general and administrative expenses, employee salaries, wages, and welfare obligations also decreased to IDR 210.69 billion from IDR 399.13 billion in the third quarter of 2024.
In line with this, the number of Bukalapak group employees also decreased. As of December 31, 2024, Bukalapak had 1,018 group employees. This then decreased to 543. In total, the number of Bukalapak group employees decreased by 475 workers.
Bukalapak's assets as of the third quarter of 2025 were recorded at Rp 26.14 trillion. Liabilities were recorded at Rp 852.24 billion, with equity at Rp 25.29 trillion.
